WP720 - WebSphere Portal V6.0 Administration - 2
Duration: 2 days
Purpose:

• This course exposes the system developer, portal architect, or administrator to the processes and practices for the installation and deployment of WebSphere Portal 6.0 in a cluster environment.
• This course focuses on the installation, deployment, and administration of WebSphere Portal within a cluster environment.
• Hands-on lab exercises are provided throughout the course.

Course objectives
At the end of this course, you should be able to:

• Explain portal topologies
• Describe portal installation scenarios
• Create a portal cluster
• Deploy portlets, skins, and themes to a cluster
• Move portal content from staging to production environments
• Troubleshoot problems in a clustered environment
• Describe production procedures and administration in a

Course prerequisites

• Administration skills using WebSphere Administration Server 6.0
  – Acquired through experience or completion of the SW246
  WebSphere Application Server V6 Administration course
• Knowledge of portals and WebSphere Portal
  – Acquired by completing the Web-based WP010 WebSphere
  Portal V6.0 Fundamentals course
• Basic knowledge of WebSphere Portal security concepts
  – Acquired by completing the WP710 WebSphere Portal
  Administration - 1 course

• Administration skills using WebSphere Administration Server Version 6.0, acquired through experience and/or completion of IBM WebSphere Application Server V6 Administration (SW246)
• Knowledge of portals and WebSphere Portal, acquired by completing IBM WebSphere Portal Version 6.0 Fundamentals (WP010)
• (Recommended) Basic knowledge of portal security concepts, acquired by completing IBM WebSphere Portal Version 6.0: Administration 1 (WP710)
