This comprehensive course combines informative lectures and discussions with relevant activities and labs that provide you with the knowledge needed to administer WebSphere Portal 7.0 tasks. You will work with a fully configured WebSphere Portal Server 7.0 and practice the day-to-day administration tasks on the WebSphere Portal Server 7.0 including: portlet installation, security configuration, Portal site management, branding, and social media capabilities.

This in-depth course is beneficial for Developers who are new to IBM WebSphere Portal and Lotus Web Content Management and also for developers with prior experience developing on these platforms.
In this hands-on course the students will learn the essentials skills required for configuring, and managing WebSphere Portal in day-to-day operations. This course does not cover programming of portlets nor does it cover the administrative task of installation of the base IBM Portal Server product. These skills can be obtained by attending the appropriate WebSphere Portal Developer (WPL51) or other administration courses Installation and Administration of IBM WebSphere Portal 7.0 on Windows(WPL81) orIBM WebSphere Portal 7.0: Administration, Installation, and Configuration on Linux (WPL91)
